Your coaching skills are ready. Your first client is waiting. But before anyone can book with you or pay you, you need a live offer — a product that describes what you sell, sets your price, and opens the door for clients to say yes. Setting up your first coaching offer is the step most new coaches delay too long, and it costs them momentum.
This guide walks you through every decision you need to make, in the right order, so your first coaching offer is live on Coachful today — not next week.
What is a coaching offer, exactly?
A coaching offer is the packaged version of your coaching work: a name, a description, a price, and a delivery format. It's what clients see when they land on your page and what they purchase when they're ready to work with you.
On Coachful, an offer can take several forms:
- A one-time payment — a flat fee for a defined program, a course, or a fixed number of sessions.
- A recurring subscription — monthly or annual billing for ongoing coaching access.
- A payment plan — split an investment of, say, $1,200 into three monthly payments of $400, reducing the barrier for clients without discounting your value.
- A multi-tier offer — multiple access levels (e.g., self-study, group, VIP) under one umbrella offer, each with its own price and inclusions.
You can also attach coupons, set enrollment limits, and connect an offer directly to a program or squad. Every offer connects to Stripe through Stripe Connect, so you get paid directly — Coachful never holds your revenue.
Before you build: four decisions to make first
Jumping into the builder without a plan leads to half-finished offers and second-guessing. Answer these four questions before you touch the UI.
1. Who is this offer for?
Be specific. "People who want to get healthy" is not a client. "Early-career women in tech who want to build leadership confidence in the next 90 days" is. The tighter your niche, the easier every other decision becomes — pricing, naming, and the words on your landing page.
2. What transformation does it deliver?
Every offer worth buying promises a before and after. Write one sentence: "By the end of this program, you will _____." If you can't finish that sentence cleanly, the offer isn't ready. Your description, your page copy, and your sales conversations all flow from this sentence.
3. What is the format and timeline?
Decide the container before you set the price. Common formats on Coachful include a 12-week structured program with weekly tasks and habit check-ins, a 6-month ongoing group coaching membership, a 4-session 1:1 intensive with a defined outcome, or an always-on community with monthly live calls. Each format has implications for how you build it inside the platform.
4. What should it cost?
Pricing is outside the scope of this guide, but a useful heuristic: price against the value of the outcome, not the number of hours you work. A $500 offer that gets a client their first $10,000 raise is massively underpriced. Start with a number you'd be comfortable saying out loud on a sales call, then test upward.
Step-by-step: creating your first offer in Coachful
Once you've made those four decisions, creating the offer itself takes under 30 minutes. Here's exactly how to do it.
- Open the Offers section. From your coach dashboard, go to Monetization → Offers → Create new offer.
- Name your offer. Use a client-facing name that communicates the outcome — not an internal codename. "90-Day Leadership Accelerator" beats "Package A".
- Write your description. This text appears on your checkout and public offer page. Lead with the transformation, list three to five concrete things the client gets, and close with a sentence about who this is for. Aim for 100–200 words.
- Set your pricing structure. Choose one-time, recurring, payment plan, or multi-tier. Enter your price. If you're using a payment plan, set the number of installments and the interval (weekly, monthly). If recurring, choose the billing cycle.
- Connect a program or squad (optional but recommended). Under Delivery, link the offer to an existing program. When a client pays, they're automatically enrolled and a cohort squad is created for them. This one step removes the most common onboarding bottleneck new coaches face.
- Upload a cover image. A clean, on-brand image dramatically improves conversion on your offer page. Use a 1200×675 px image at minimum. Canva has free templates that work well.
- Configure enrollment settings. Set a maximum enrollment if you want to create scarcity, or leave it unlimited. You can also require an intake call before payment by toggling on the intake call booking step.
- Preview and publish. Click Preview to see the client-facing offer page. When you're happy, click Publish. Your offer is now live at your Coachful subdomain (e.g.,
yourname.coachful.co) and can be shared immediately.
Pro tip: If you have a custom domain, connect it under Settings → Custom Domain before you share your offer link. A URL like coaching.yourbrand.com builds significantly more trust than a subdomain, especially for premium offers above $1,000.Connecting your offer to a coaching program
The most powerful move in Coachful is connecting your offer directly to a structured program. When you do this, a client who purchases your offer gets automatically enrolled, gains access to their program content, and is added to a cohort squad — a private group space just for that intake of clients.
If you haven't built your program yet, go to Coach → Programs → Create new and map out your curriculum first. A solid 12-week program might have three tasks per week, weekly habit check-ins, and two milestone goals at weeks 4 and 12. You don't need to upload every piece of content before publishing the offer — coaches frequently sell programs while the content is still being built, then release it week by week.
Connecting delivery to payment this way means zero manual enrollment. You don't need to send welcome emails with login links, add clients to spreadsheets, or grant access manually. The platform handles all of it.
Coaches using Coachful consistently cite automated enrollment as the single biggest time-saver versus managing clients across separate tools. If you're currently juggling a payment processor, a course platform, a scheduling tool, and a chat app, consolidating into one platform reclaims hours every week.
Setting up Stripe so you can get paid
Your offer is only useful if money actually moves. Coachful uses Stripe Connect to process payments, which means your revenue goes directly to your Stripe account — not through Coachful as an intermediary.
To connect Stripe, go to Settings → Billing → Connect Stripe. You'll be redirected to Stripe's onboarding flow. Have your bank account details, business information, and ID ready — Stripe's verification usually takes less than 10 minutes for most coaches. Once connected, your offer is fully transactional and clients can pay immediately.
If you want to test the purchase flow before going live, Stripe supports test mode. Enable it under Settings → Billing and use Stripe's test card numbers to simulate a purchase end to end.
Writing an offer page that converts
Coachful's website and landing page builder lets you create a dedicated page for your offer beyond the default checkout page. Go to Website → Pages → New page and choose the offer lander template.
A converting offer page has five elements: a headline that names the outcome, a subheadline that names the client, a short proof statement, a breakdown of what's included, and a clear call-to-action button that links to your offer checkout. Keep it tight. Coaches who write 3,000-word sales pages for their first offer are procrastinating. A clean 500-word page with a strong headline outperforms a bloated one every time.
You can also add your offer to your link-in-bio page for quick sharing from Instagram or LinkedIn, and embed it inside a blog post on your Coachful-powered blog if you're driving organic traffic.
Pro tips for pricing and packaging your first offer
Here are a few patterns that work well for coaches launching their first offer on Coachful:
- Start with a signature offer, not a full menu. One clear, well-priced offer converts better than three confusing options. Add more offers once the first one has sold five times.
- Use a payment plan to raise your price. A $900 offer with three monthly payments of $300 is often easier to sell than a $600 one-time fee, and you earn more.
- Create an early-bird coupon. Under Monetization → Coupons, set a 20% discount with a use limit of five. Use it to reward your first five clients and build social proof fast.
- Require an intake call for high-ticket offers. For anything above $1,500, turning on the intake call requirement filters serious buyers, warms the relationship, and dramatically improves show rates and conversion.
Remember: you can always edit your offer after publishing. Change the price, update the description, swap the cover image. Don't let perfectionism delay launch. A published offer that's 80% polished starts generating data. An unpublished offer generates nothing.
Common mistakes and troubleshooting
My offer page looks blank after publishing
This usually means the offer isn't linked to a program or the description fields are empty. Go back to Monetization → Offers, open the offer, and confirm that the description, cover image, and price are all filled in. Then republish.
Stripe says my account isn't connected
Complete the full Stripe Connect onboarding flow — partial completion disables payments. Go to Settings → Billing and check whether Stripe shows a yellow warning banner. Clicking it will resume onboarding where you left off.
Clients aren't being enrolled automatically after payment
Check that the offer is linked to a specific program under the Delivery tab of the offer settings. If the link is missing, enrollments won't trigger. Reconnect the program and test with a free or $1 test offer in Stripe test mode.
I can't find my published offer URL
Your offer's public URL is listed on the offer detail page under Share. It follows the pattern yourslug.coachful.co/offers/offer-slug. Copy it from there rather than guessing the path.
My coupon code isn't working at checkout
Verify that the coupon hasn't hit its usage limit and that it's enabled. Go to Monetization → Coupons, find the coupon, and confirm the status and remaining redemptions.
I want to offer a free discovery session before purchase — how?
Enable intake calls on your offer and set them to free under Bookings → Intake Call Settings. The intake call becomes a required step before the client reaches the payment screen, giving you a chance to close the sale live.
Ready to launch your first coaching offer?
Your first offer doesn't need to be perfect. It needs to be live. Once it's published on Coachful, you have a real URL to share, a real checkout page to send clients to, and real revenue waiting on the other side. Everything you learn from your first five sales — the objections, the questions, the drop-off points — will make your second offer ten times stronger.
