By Coachful10 min readUpdated Apr 20, 2026

Learn how to build, launch, and grow your coaching website with Coachful's drag-and-drop builder — covering custom domains, blog, lead magnets, funnels, and SEO in one platform.

What's covered
  • What the Coachful website builder includes
  • Step 1 — Set up your subdomain or custom domain
  • Step 2 — Build your homepage
  • Step 3 — Create service and program pages
  • Step 4 — Add a blog to drive organic traffic
  • Step 5 — Build a lead-magnet page or funnel

Your coaching website is often the first impression a potential client gets of your practice. If it looks outdated, loads slowly, or sends visitors to a third-party booking tool, you're losing clients before they even say hello. Coachful's built-in website builder lets you design, launch, and iterate on your coaching website — without touching a line of code or paying for a separate platform.

This guide walks you through every step of building your coaching website with Coachful, from choosing your domain to publishing your first lead-magnet funnel.

What the Coachful website builder includes

Before diving into the steps, it helps to know exactly what you're working with. The Coachful website builder is a drag-and-drop editor baked directly into your coach dashboard. It's not a third-party integration — it lives alongside your programs, bookings, and client chat so everything connects seamlessly.

  • Full coaching website — multi-page site with custom navigation, hero sections, testimonials, service pages, and more.
  • Blog — publish SEO articles directly on your domain to attract organic traffic.
  • Lead-magnet pages — capture emails in exchange for a free guide, checklist, or mini-course.
  • Link-in-bio page — a single, mobile-optimized page that consolidates all your offers and social links.
  • Funnels — multi-step pages that move a visitor from awareness to booked call in a single flow.
  • Custom subdomain or custom domain — your site lives at {yourslug}.coachful.co by default, with the option to point your own domain (e.g., www.yourname.com) with auto-SSL.

Coaches on the Scale plan (and legacy Pro) can connect a fully custom domain. Growth plan coaches use the Coachful subdomain. Either way, your site is fast, mobile-responsive, and indexed by Google.

Step 1 — Set up your subdomain or custom domain

Every Coachful workspace ships with a unique subdomain the moment you sign up. To find or change it, go to Settings → Workspace → Domain in your coach dashboard. Your subdomain slug determines your public URL (yourslug.coachful.co) and appears in client-facing emails, booking links, and your marketplace profile.

Connecting a custom domain

  1. Purchase your domain from any registrar (Namecheap, Google Domains, GoDaddy, etc.).
  2. In Coachful, navigate to Settings → Workspace → Custom Domain.
  3. Enter your domain (e.g., www.sarahsmith.com) and click Verify.
  4. Copy the CNAME record Coachful provides.
  5. Log in to your domain registrar's DNS settings and add the CNAME record pointing to Coachful's target hostname.
  6. Click Confirm DNS back in Coachful. SSL is provisioned automatically — usually within 5 minutes, up to 48 hours for DNS propagation.

Once your domain is live, every page you publish — your homepage, blog posts, landing pages — is served under that domain. No subfolders, no redirects, no branding from another platform.

Step 2 — Build your homepage

Head to Website → Pages → Home in your dashboard. The drag-and-drop editor opens with a starter template. You can use a template as-is, start from a blank canvas, or mix sections from multiple templates.

Sections every coaching homepage needs

  • Hero section — a headline that names your niche and the transformation you deliver, a subheading, and a primary CTA button (e.g., "Book a free call" or "Explore my programs").
  • About / credibility strip — a short bio, certifications, and media logos if you have them. Visitors decide within seconds whether to trust you.
  • Services or programs section — pull in your Coachful programs directly as cards. When a visitor clicks, they land on the program's enrollment page.
  • Testimonials — at least 3 social-proof quotes with client name and outcome ("Lost 18 lbs in 12 weeks", "Got promoted 6 months after our first session").
  • CTA section — close every page with a single action: book a call, join a program, or download a free resource.

Linking to your bookings and programs

Because Coachful handles scheduling and billing natively, any button on your website can link directly to an intake call booking page, a program enrollment checkout, or a contact form — all hosted on your own domain. There's no need to embed a third-party widget or paste in a Calendly link.

Pro tip: Use your homepage CTA button to send visitors to an intake call rather than a generic contact form. Coaches who route traffic directly to a booking page convert at 2–3× the rate of those who ask visitors to "get in touch."

Step 3 — Create service and program pages

For each coaching offer you have — a 12-week 1:1 program, a group cohort, a one-off strategy session — build a dedicated page. Go to Website → Pages → New Page, choose the Service / Program template, and fill in the following:

  1. Outcome-led headline — what does the client achieve? ("Go from burnt-out manager to confident leader in 90 days.")
  2. Program overview — describe the structure: number of weeks, session frequency, deliverables. Be specific. A vague "we'll work together" page loses people.
  3. Curriculum preview — list 3–5 key milestones or module names. This shows substance without giving everything away.
  4. Who it's for / who it's not for — qualify your lead. Coaches who do this report higher-quality discovery calls.
  5. Pricing and CTA — connect the page's enroll button to the matching Coachful offer so payment and onboarding happen automatically via Stripe.

Step 4 — Add a blog to drive organic traffic

The Coachful blog editor is built into the same dashboard. Go to Website → Blog → New Post. Posts are published on your custom domain (e.g., www.yourname.com/blog/how-to-set-goals), making them fully indexable by Google and Bing.

A consistent blog is one of the highest-ROI marketing activities for coaches. A single well-optimized article — "How to find a life coach" or "Signs you need an executive coach" — can drive dozens of free leads every month for years. Aim for at least 1,000 words per post, one target keyword per article, and an internal link to a relevant service page on every post.

Already using Coachful but not sure where to start? Sign in to your workspace and ask Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, for blog topic ideas based on your niche and current programs. Michelle can draft outlines and even full first drafts directly in the dashboard.

Step 5 — Build a lead-magnet page or funnel

Lead-magnet pages are standalone pages with one job: capture an email address in exchange for something valuable (a free PDF checklist, a mini video series, a self-assessment quiz). In Coachful, go to Website → Pages → New Page and choose the Lead Magnet template.

A funnel chains multiple pages together — typically: ad or organic post → lead-magnet opt-in page → thank-you / delivery page → low-ticket offer page → discovery call booking page. Coachful's funnel builder lets you define this sequence inside Website → Funnels → New Funnel and tracks drop-off at each step.

Link-in-bio page

If you drive traffic from Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube, a link-in-bio page is essential. Go to Website → Pages → Link in Bio, add your key links (top program, free resource, booking page, YouTube channel), upload a photo, and publish. The page is mobile-first and loads in under a second. Share the URL in your social bios and Coachful handles the rest.

Pro tips for a high-converting coaching website

  • One primary CTA per page. Every page should have exactly one primary action you want the visitor to take. Multiple competing CTAs dilute conversions.
  • Use real photos. Stock photography tanks trust on coaching sites. Even a decent smartphone photo of you in a real environment outperforms a polished stock image.
  • Speed matters. Coachful hosts your site on a global CDN, but keep your images under 500 KB by compressing them before upload.
  • SEO basics on every page. In the page editor, click SEO Settings to set a custom title tag (50–60 characters) and meta description (140–155 characters) for each page. Include your primary keyword naturally.
  • Add your Google Analytics or Meta Pixel IDs under Settings → Integrations → Tracking to measure traffic and ad performance without any code.
The coaches who grow fastest on Coachful treat their website as a living asset, not a set-it-and-forget-it brochure. Review your homepage every 90 days. Update testimonials, refresh your hero copy when you add a new program, and A/B test CTAs when traffic is high enough.

Troubleshooting common website issues

My custom domain shows a security warning

SSL is provisioned automatically, but DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours. If you're still seeing a security warning after 48 hours, go to Settings → Custom Domain and click Re-verify DNS. Make sure you added the CNAME record (not an A record) exactly as shown. If the issue persists, contact Coachful support with a screenshot of your DNS settings.

Pages aren't showing on Google

New pages can take days to weeks to appear in Google search results. Speed this up by submitting your sitemap to Google Search Console. Your Coachful sitemap is automatically generated at yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml. Also, make sure each page has a unique title tag and meta description set in SEO Settings — pages without these are less likely to be indexed quickly.

My program enrollment button doesn't work

If the enroll button on a service page isn't routing clients to checkout, check that you've linked the button to a published Coachful Offer (not a draft). Go to Programs → Offers, confirm the offer status is Active, and that Stripe Connect is fully connected under Settings → Billing. Clients cannot complete payment if your Stripe account is in restricted mode.

My blog posts aren't appearing on my custom domain

If you recently connected a custom domain, previously published blog posts may still cache under the old subdomain for a short time. Try a hard refresh (Ctrl + Shift + R / Cmd + Shift + R) in a private browser window. If the issue persists after 24 hours, republish the affected posts from the Blog editor to force a cache clear.

The drag-and-drop editor feels slow

The page editor is a browser-based application and performs best in Chrome or Edge on a stable connection. If you experience lag, close other browser tabs, disable browser extensions temporarily, and avoid editing on a mobile device — preview on mobile, but edit on desktop.

I can't find the funnel builder

Funnels are available on the Scale plan. If you're on the Growth plan and don't see Website → Funnels in your dashboard, you'll need to upgrade. You can still build multi-step flows manually by chaining individual pages with redirect links — it's less automated but effective for getting started. See upgrading your Coachful plan for details.

Ready to launch your coaching website?

A professional coaching website used to mean hiring a designer, a developer, and paying for a handful of separate subscriptions. With Coachful, your website, booking system, client portal, programs, and billing all live in one place — on your own domain, with your own brand. That means less time managing tools and more time doing the work you built your coaching practice for.

If you haven't started yet, start your free trial at Coachful and your site can be live in an afternoon. Already a member? Sign in to your workspace and head to Website in the left navigation to start building — or ask Michelle to walk you through it step by step.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use my own domain name with Coachful?
Yes. Coaches on the Scale plan can connect any custom domain (e.g., www.yourname.com) to their Coachful workspace. You add a CNAME record in your registrar's DNS settings, and Coachful provisions SSL automatically — usually within minutes. Growth plan coaches use a free Coachful subdomain (yourslug.coachful.co).
Do I need to know how to code to build my coaching website on Coachful?
No coding is required. Coachful provides a drag-and-drop page editor with pre-built templates for homepages, service pages, lead-magnet pages, link-in-bio pages, and funnels. You can publish a complete site in an afternoon without touching any HTML or CSS.
Does Coachful include a blog for SEO?
Yes. The Coachful blog editor is built into your dashboard and publishes posts directly on your custom domain (e.g., www.yourname.com/blog/post-title), making them fully indexable by Google. You can set custom title tags and meta descriptions for each post inside the editor's SEO Settings panel.
How do I connect my coaching website to my programs and booking pages?
Because Coachful handles programs, scheduling, and billing natively, any button or link on your website can point directly to a program enrollment checkout or an intake call booking page — all on your own domain. There's no need for third-party embeds or external booking tools.
What is the difference between a lead-magnet page and a funnel in Coachful?
A lead-magnet page is a single page that captures an email address in exchange for a free resource. A funnel is a multi-step sequence of pages (opt-in → thank-you → offer → booking) that guides a visitor through your entire sales process. Funnels are available on the Scale plan; lead-magnet pages are available on all plans.
How long does it take for my coaching website pages to appear in Google search results?
New pages typically appear in Google within a few days to a few weeks. You can speed up indexing by submitting your sitemap (available at yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml) to Google Search Console and ensuring every page has a unique title tag and meta description set in Coachful's SEO Settings.
Can I track website visitors and ad conversions on my Coachful site?
Yes. You can add your Google Analytics measurement ID and Meta Pixel ID under Settings → Integrations → Tracking in your Coachful dashboard. This enables full traffic and conversion tracking without adding any custom code to your pages.
