How to install the Coachful PWA (no app store needed)

On iPhone (Safari)
- Open Safari and navigate to app.coachful.co/mobile.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an upward arrow) at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down in the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Give the app a name (or keep "Coachful") and tap Add in the top-right corner.
- The Coachful icon now appears on your home screen. Tap it to launch the full-screen experience.
On Android (Chrome)
- Open Chrome and go to app.coachful.co/mobile.
- Chrome will often show an "Add Coachful to Home screen" banner automatically — tap it.
- If the banner doesn't appear, tap the three-dot menu (top-right), then tap Add to Home screen.
- Confirm by tapping Add. The icon will appear on your home screen and in your app drawer.
Already have a Coachful account on the web? Your data syncs instantly — there's nothing to migrate. Just sign in on mobile and everything is right where you left it: your programs, client messages, calendar, and billing history.
Signing in for the first time
After installing the app, you'll be prompted to sign in. A few things to know before you tap that button:
- Coaches sign in with the email and password they used to create their Coachful workspace. If you've forgotten your password, tap Forgot password on the sign-in screen to receive a reset link.
- Clients use the email address their coach used to invite them. If you've never set a password (because you were invited via a magic link), tap Forgot password to create one, then sign in.
- Social login: If you signed up with Google or Apple on the web, use the same provider on mobile for a frictionless sign-in.
Once inside, coaches will see their full dashboard — Programs, Squads, Bookings, Clients, and access to Michelle, the AI assistant. Clients see their assigned program curriculum, habit tracker, upcoming booking slots, and any Squad chat threads they've been added to.
Enabling push notifications

On first launch, both iOS and Android will ask whether to allow notifications from Coachful. Tap Allow. If you accidentally tapped Don't Allow, you can re-enable notifications at any time:

Troubleshooting common mobile install issues
The app isn't appearing in my App Store or Play Store search
Make sure your device region in the App Store / Play Store settings matches a supported region. If you're in a region where the listing is pending, use the direct PWA install method at app.coachful.co/mobile as an immediate workaround. I'm getting a "device not compatible" error on Android
The Coachful native app requires Android 9 or later. Go to Settings → About phone → Software information to check your Android version. If you're below Android 9, install the PWA via Chrome instead — it supports Android 7 and above.
The app opens but shows a blank white screen
This is almost always a caching issue. Force-close the app, clear the app cache (Settings → Apps → Coachful → Storage → Clear cache on Android; delete and reinstall on iOS), then reopen. If the issue persists, check your internet connection — the app requires an active connection on first load.
I can't log in — it says my credentials are incorrect
Double-check that you're using the email associated with your Coachful account, not a secondary email. If you're a client who was invited by a coach, your account was created with the email address the coach used — it may not be the one you expected. Use Forgot password to trigger a reset to any email you think might be registered.
Push notifications aren't arriving
First, confirm notifications are enabled at the OS level (see the steps above). Then, inside the Coachful app, go to Profile → Notification preferences and verify the relevant notification types are toggled on. On iOS, also check that Focus / Do Not Disturb mode isn't silencing Coachful notifications.
The PWA isn't showing an "Add to Home Screen" option in Safari
This option only appears in Safari on iOS — it won't show up in Chrome or Firefox on iPhone. Make sure you're using Safari, and that you're tapping the Share icon (not the bookmark icon). If you've recently updated iOS, sometimes a full device restart resolves the issue.
