Turn your network into recurring revenue
If you've been recommending Coachful to other coaches — or you're building an audience of coaching professionals — the Coachful affiliate program lets you earn real money every time someone you refer becomes a paying customer. You don't need to be a developer, a marketer, or even an active Coachful coach yourself. You just need a network and a link.
This guide covers everything: how the affiliate program works, how to apply, where to find your referral link, how commissions are calculated, and how to maximize your earnings over time.
TL;DR
- Apply to the Coachful affiliate program from your dashboard or via the affiliate sign-up page.
- You receive a unique referral link. When a coach signs up through it and converts to a paid plan, you earn a commission.
- Commissions are recurring — you keep earning as long as your referral stays subscribed.
- Payouts go through Stripe to your connected bank or debit card.
- Track clicks, conversions, and earnings in your affiliate dashboard.
How the Coachful affiliate program works
Coachful's affiliate program is a performance-based referral system. You share a unique tracking link; when someone clicks it, signs up for Coachful, and upgrades to a paid plan (Growth or Scale), you earn a percentage of their subscription revenue. Because Coachful is a recurring SaaS product, your commissions are also recurring — meaning a single referral can pay you month after month, not just once.
The program is designed for people who are already connected to the coaching industry: coaches who want to monetize their peer network, content creators in the coaching and wellness space, course instructors who teach business-of-coaching topics, and podcast hosts or newsletter writers who serve coaching professionals.
There is no cap on the number of coaches you can refer, and no ceiling on earnings. Whether you refer one coach or one hundred, the structure is the same.
Commission structure
Coachful pays a recurring commission on every active subscription generated by your referral link. The exact rate is confirmed in your affiliate agreement at sign-up and may vary based on your tier or promotion. Commissions are calculated on the net subscription amount (after Stripe fees and any discounts applied via coupons). You are not paid on one-time add-ons or third-party charges processed through a coach's own Stripe Connect account — only on the Coachful platform subscription itself.
When a referred coach downgrades, churns, or requests a refund, the corresponding commission is reversed or withheld. When they upgrade from Growth to Scale, your commission increases proportionally — automatically.
Cookie window and attribution
Coachful uses a 30-day cookie window for affiliate attribution. If someone clicks your link today and signs up 25 days later, you still get credit. If they click multiple affiliate links, the most recent click wins (last-click attribution). Make sure your audience clicks your link close to when they're ready to sign up to maximize your conversion rate.
How to join the Coachful affiliate program
Joining takes less than five minutes. Here's exactly how to apply:
- Go to coachful.co/affiliates and click Apply now.
- Sign in with your existing Coachful account, or create a free account if you don't have one yet.
- Fill in the affiliate application form: your website or social media URL, how you plan to promote Coachful, your estimated monthly audience size, and your PayPal or Stripe payout preference.
- Submit your application. Most applications are reviewed within 1–3 business days. You'll receive an email when you're approved.
- Once approved, go to Dashboard → Affiliate in your Coachful account. Your unique referral link and tracking dashboard are live immediately.
You do not need to be a paying Coachful subscriber to be an affiliate — a free account is sufficient to participate.
Finding and using your referral link
After approval, your referral link lives in the Affiliate section of your Coachful dashboard. It looks something like https://coachful.co?ref=yourhandle. You can share this link anywhere: a blog post, a YouTube description, an email newsletter, a podcast show notes page, or your link-in-bio page.
If you're already a Coachful coach with your own website built on the platform, you can embed your referral link directly into your site using the drag-and-drop website builder — for example, in a "Tools I use" page or a resource section of your blog. Coachful's built-in blog and funnel pages make it easy to create SEO content that drives affiliate traffic passively.
Creating trackable deep links
Your base referral link points to the Coachful homepage. But you can append any Coachful URL path to create a deep link that sends referred coaches to a specific page — for example, a pricing page or a feature overview. Just add your ?ref=yourhandle parameter to any coachful.co URL. Deep links tend to convert better because the landing page matches whatever you were just writing or talking about.
Pro tip: If you're a coach on Coachful, you already have a head start. Your lived experience with the platform is your most persuasive sales tool. Write a detailed review of how you use Coachful's programs, squads, and scheduling features — and drop your affiliate link naturally at the end. Authentic content outperforms generic banner ads every time.
Tracking clicks, signups, and earnings
Your affiliate dashboard inside Coachful gives you a real-time view of:
- Clicks — total link clicks, broken down by day and source (if you use UTM parameters).
- Signups — how many people created a Coachful account through your link.
- Conversions — how many of those signups upgraded to a paid plan.
- Active referrals — coaches currently on a paid plan attributed to you.
- Pending commissions — earnings not yet passed the refund window.
- Confirmed commissions — earnings cleared and ready for payout.
- Total paid out — your lifetime earnings from the program.
You can export this data as a CSV at any time for your own records or accounting purposes. If you notice a spike in clicks that didn't convert, check whether your landing page is aligned with what you promised in the content — a mismatch there is usually the culprit.

How and when you get paid
Coachful processes affiliate payouts monthly, on the 15th of the following month, for all commissions confirmed in the prior calendar month. A commission is "confirmed" once the referred coach's subscription has passed the standard refund window (typically 14 days) without a chargeback or cancellation.
Payouts are made via Stripe to your connected payout method. To set this up, go to Dashboard → Affiliate → Payout settings and connect your Stripe account or enter your bank details. There is a minimum payout threshold of $25 — if your confirmed earnings for a month are below that, they roll over to the next month automatically.
You will receive a payout notification email each time a transfer is initiated. Keep your tax information up to date in your affiliate settings — Coachful may be required to collect a W-9 (US) or W-8BEN (international) form depending on your earnings level and jurisdiction.
Strategies to maximize your affiliate earnings
Dropping a link and hoping for clicks rarely works. The affiliates who earn meaningfully from the Coachful program do a few things consistently:
1. Create content that answers real questions
Coaches searching for platform solutions are usually Googling things like "best software for online coaches", "how to sell coaching programs online", or "coaching client portal". A well-written blog post or YouTube video targeting those queries — using your affiliate link in the description or body — will generate passive clicks for months. Coachful's built-in blog tool means you can host that content on your own coaching site at no extra cost.
2. Mention Coachful in your onboarding for coaching students
If you teach coaches how to build their business, Coachful is a natural recommendation in your "tech stack" module. A single course with 200 students can generate dozens of affiliate conversions if your recommendation is credible and well-placed.
3. Use your link-in-bio
If you're active on Instagram, TikTok, or LinkedIn in the coaching niche, add a "Tools I use" link to your bio page. Coachful's own link-in-bio builder (available on your coach subdomain) can house your affiliate link alongside your other offers — or you can use any third-party tool.
4. Email your list
A dedicated email to your coaching audience explaining why you switched to (or chose) Coachful typically outperforms passive banner placement by a significant margin. Be specific: talk about which features you actually use — like the program builder, squad chat, or Stripe billing — and explain the concrete outcome it gave you. Real specificity builds trust.
5. Leverage seasonal moments
Coaches are most likely to evaluate new tools in January (new year, new systems), September (post-summer relaunch), and around major coaching certifications or conferences. Time your promotional pushes to match these windows.
Common mistakes and troubleshooting
My referral link isn't tracking clicks
First, confirm you're sharing the exact link from your affiliate dashboard — not a modified or shortened version that dropped your ?ref= parameter. If you use a link shortener like Bitly, make sure it's correctly redirecting to your full affiliate URL. Test by opening the link in an incognito window and checking whether a new click registers in your dashboard within a few minutes.
A coach signed up but isn't showing in my conversions
This usually happens when the referred coach signed up through a different device or browser than where they originally clicked your link — clearing cookies or switching from mobile to desktop breaks attribution. Unfortunately, last-click cookie attribution can't recover these cases retroactively. Going forward, encourage your audience to sign up in the same session as clicking your link.
My payout didn't arrive on the 15th
Check that your payout method is correctly connected under Dashboard → Affiliate → Payout settings. Bank transfers can take 2–5 business days to settle after the payout is initiated. If it's been more than 7 business days, contact Coachful support with your affiliate ID and the expected payout period.
I was approved but can't see my affiliate dashboard
Log out and back in to refresh your account permissions. If the Affiliate tab is still missing, it's possible your account type doesn't have the affiliate role assigned yet — email support with your approval confirmation and they'll sort it within one business day.
Can I run paid ads with my affiliate link?
Paid search ads bidding on Coachful's branded keywords (e.g., "Coachful", "Coachful.co") are not permitted under the affiliate terms. Non-branded paid social ads (e.g., targeting coaches on Facebook or LinkedIn without using the Coachful brand name in the ad copy) are generally allowed — check your affiliate agreement for the current policy or ask the affiliate team before spending.
I referred myself — will that count?
Self-referrals are not eligible for commission and are detected automatically. Attempting to refer your own accounts is a violation of the affiliate terms and can result in account suspension. The program is designed for genuine third-party referrals only.
